Sharkey Hot Springs is located near Featherville, Idaho, along the South Fork of the Boise River. It's approximately 2 hours from Boise via Mountain Home and Highway 20. The springs are a short walk from the road.
If you enjoy primitive, natural hot springs, Sharkey is worth the drive. The setting along the South Fork Boise River is beautiful, and the pools offer a rustic soaking experience. Don't expect developed facilities - this is backcountry soaking.
Bring towels, water, snacks, and trash bags (pack it out). The springs are primitive with no facilities. A camp chair is nice. Consider bringing a small shovel or tools if you want to improve the rock pools. Footwear for walking along the river is helpful.
